Yellow is the theme of the early garden.
Daffodils of course.
Cowslips and primroses.
Forsythia bush.
The yellow branches of this curly willow, growing from the stump.
And the spurge.
Sunshine yellow lifts the spirits.

April Snow
They told us we had a polar vortex coming in April.
They were right.
The snow and cold are back.
I checked the pond. It had not frozen over again, but tonight it is supposed to get to -12 C. so I thought I had better plug the heater back in.
This would be a lovely winter scene in February…
but in April? Not so much.
